What you’ll be doing

Every day in this role brings new challenges and opportunities. You can expect a mix of the following accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure product quality.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX teams to define testing strategies early in the development lifecycle.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web, mobile, and API layers.
• Maintain and improve automated test suites for reliability, coverage, and speed.
• Track, log, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to release readiness by validating features and providing clear feedback on quality risks.
• Verify UI/UX for mobile applications and large screen.
• Perform exploratory testing of new software builds.
• Root cause analysis for the issues found during QA process.
• Confirm proper logging and fault detection during device operation.
• Ensure recent software changes haven’t broken existing features.
• Test the new software is compatible with existing firmware.
• Optionally ensure correct hardware/firmware data is captured and interpreted (e.g. temperature sensors, meter readings, etc)

• 3+ years’ experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business contexts.
• Proven experience writing and executing test cases for web and/or mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of defect and test management software (e.g., Jira or similar).
• Familiarity with a range of testing techniques and methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing test cases, checklists, and test plans.
• Ability to provide accurate testing estimations.
• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with test automation (preferred).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub).
