Job description

Review and analyse system requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to identify and establish test scope.

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data for manual and/or automated testing.

Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools, ensuring issues are communicated clearly and resolved efficiently.

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure product quality.

Lead and support UAT activities with clients, including test planning, walkthroughs, execution support, and sign-off processes.

Prepare test reports, UAT sign-off documents, user guides, and other documentation as required.

Participate in project discussions, sprint planning, and review meetings to provide quality assurance input.

Continuously assess existing processes and propose improvements to enhance QA efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.

Ensure all testing is aligned with project timelines, quality standards, and delivery expectations.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software testing lifecycle (STLC), and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks or scripting is a plus (but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with software delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).
• Experience in conducting UAT and supporting end‑user testing.

Documentation & Communication

• Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to produce detailed test cases, test results, UAT scripts, and user documentation.
• Strong ability to communicate with clients and internal teams both verbally and in writing.
• Able to document and present findings clearly and confidently during discussions, demos, and review sessions.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a high standard of accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Independent, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Other Qualifications

Minimum Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Certification in ISTQB, CSTE, or similar certification will be an added advantage.

This is a contract role for 1 year. Possible extension or conversion upon performance review and discretion by the Company.
