Job summary

A leading technology firm in Penang is seeking an experienced SMT Engineer to improve quality and processes in SMT manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and SMT Manufacturing Engineering and at least 2 years of related experience. Key responsibilities include driving quality improvements, resolving machine-related issues, and training staff. Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay is preferred to serve a diverse customer base.

Job description

Handle & knowledge well versa the process of SMT is advantage.

Have experience & knowledge well with SMT machine eg. FUJI NXT III,Speedline MPM100,Reflow CT930 and etc.

Your job responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

Initiate, coordinate and drive quality improvement in SMT process.

Resolve all quality issues related to process, machine and human-related.

Work with customer to define quality / process requirements.

To improve process capability to achieve better product yield, quality and customer specification & requirement.

Prepare WI, Control plan & FMEA.

Provide relevant training for operator/trainer/supervisor.

To improve on process cycle time (or UPH study) for bottom-neck product lines.

Initiate cost saving on IDMs to achieve cost competitive (Cost reduction project).

To liaise with suppliers on issues related to process improvement.

To perform machine buy-off activity for newly or customer-transferred equipment.

To work closely with NPI engineer for new product introduction (through MPV builds) and ensure a good “hand-shake” before new product release for mass production run.

To enhance the technical knowledge and skills of process technicians & AE by providing training to them.

To maintain process integrity by monitoring process performance through the use ofstatistical tools.

Bachelor Degree in industrial and SMT Manufacturing Engineering.

Preferable 2+ years working experiences in related field.

Able to read & communicate in Mandarin, English & Malay. "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."

Self-motivated, work independently, good logical thinking.
