Job summary

A construction company is seeking a dedicated Site Safety Supervisor to ensure safety compliance on various construction projects in Johor Bahru. Responsibilities include assisting in site surveillance, inspecting unsafe conditions, and liaising with safety supervisors. A valid Yellow Book Holder registration with DOSH is required. This role offers a permanent position with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, 6 days a week.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
• Self-assured and able to work independently.
• Good communication and self-motivated toward safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety & Health Officer for daily site surveillance.
• Inspect unsafe conditions at the construction site.
• Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to join our team at Haily Construction Sdn Bhd on a permanent basis, overseeing our landed housing or high-rise building projects.

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (6 days working days)

Job Description

• Assist the safety & Health Officer to carry out daily surveillance at site.
• Inspect and rectify any unsafe conditions at the construction site.
• Correct unsafe practices.
• Check subcontractors’ work to ensure compliance with the Act and the Regulations made thereunder are complied with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
• Liaise with contractor’s safety supervisors appointed under Regulation 26 with respect to safety of work undertaken by subcontractors.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Valid Yellow Book Holder registered with Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH).
• Self-assured & ability to work independently.
• Good communication and self-motivated toward safety & overall support of the team plus organization.
