Job summary

A construction safety management firm in Sepang, Selangor is seeking a Safety Supervisor to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health and has at least 2 years of experience in construction site safety supervision. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments while also monitoring safety practices at project sites. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in construction site safety supervision.
• Possess Valid Yellow Book (SSS) registration with DOSH.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, safety patrols, and intervene in unsafe conditions.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety induction.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
• Promote safe work conduct and ensure personal protective equipment is worn.
• Complete and review risk assessments for all work equipment.
• Report, document, and investigate all accidents.
• Implement safety activities according to OSHA and ISO standards.
• Travel to project sites for safety monitoring.

Job description

Conduct safety inspections, safety patrols, and intervention of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts to correct the hazardous conditions in the workplace.

Conduct toolbox meetings and safety induction.

Ensure the provisions of the act and any regulation (OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967) made there under are complied with.

Promote safe conduct of work, ensure personal protective equipment is worn and rectify hazardous construction methods.

Ensure completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.

Ensure that all accidents are reported, documented, investigated and recommended improvement actions.

Implement safety activities according to the required Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and ISO standards.

Travel to project sites for safety monitoring and coverage when required.

What You’ll Need:

Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) / Engineering / Construction-related field.

Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in construction site safety supervision.

Possess Valid Yellow Book (SSS) registration with DOSH.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; other safety-related courses are an advantage.

Candidates available to start immediately will be prioritized.

Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and best practices.
