A leading construction firm in Gelang Patah, Malaysia seeks an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to manage Safety & Health programs. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Yellow Book certification and possess a degree in Occupational Safety and Health. Responsibilities include risk assessment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting safety trainings. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, aiming to foster a culture of safety in all operations.
Coordinate the implementation of Safety & Health programs across the organization.
Assist the Site Safety & Health Officer (SHO) by providing guidance and advice on Safety & Health practices at the site.
Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
Ensure compliance with all Safety & Health regulations and standards while fostering a safety‑first culture throughout the organization.
Monitor and report on‑site Safety & Health performance; develop management plans and event calendars for operational safety activities.
Attend site meetings, conduct Safety & Health training sessions, toolbox talks, and facilitate monthly safety discussions.
Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., JKKP, CIDB, Bomba, KKM) to address and resolve site‑related issues promptly.
Prepare and submit monthly Safety & Health reports.
Assist in investigating incidents, documenting findings, and preparing necessary reports.
Perform additional tasks assigned by superiors as needed.
Possess at least a Certificate, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
Valid Yellow Book certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a registered Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) in the construction industry.
