About the role

Join the growing team at BARAT OLEOCHEM SDN BHD as a full‑time Shipping Coordinator cum Admin Assistant. This critical role will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement and documentation of goods, ensuring a seamless import and export process for the company. Based in the vibrant port city of Port Klang, Selangor, you will be an integral part of the logistics operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate all export shipments (sea/air/road) and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to arrange bookings, container schedules, and transportation.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, customs declarations, Certificate of Origin (e.g., Form E, Form D), and other required permits (e.g., MPOB, poison license).
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse and QA for export readiness.
  • Process customer sales orders and raise sales invoices accurately. Track shipment status and liaise with sales team accordingly.
  • Maintain sales and customer databases, and assist in generating sales reports.
  • Handle customer inquiries and support the sales team in daily operations.
  • Other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
  • Support the administration team with various clerical duties, including data entry, filing and responding to inquiries.

What we’re looking for

  • 1‑3 years of experience in a shipping or logistics coordination role, preferably within the import/export or customs industry.
  • Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs clearance processes.
  • Able to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage as communication with China suppliers is required.
