Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and Repair
- Identify, diagnose, and repair electrical issues during production. (PLCs, sensors, drives, actuators, relays, …..)
- Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns during shifts, ensuring quick resolution to minimize production downtime.
- Doing root cause analysis to prevent recurring breakdowns and suggesting improvements in processes, equipment design, or maintenance schedules.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery as per schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and checking for any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replaced and consumed and make sure these are ordered and re-stocked.
- Collaboration with Production Teams
- Assist machine operators with technical guidance during production to ensure smooth operation of equipment like setting up and adjusting the production machines
- Provide detailed handovers at the start and end of each shift to ensure continuity in machine operation and maintenance activities.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA or local safety regulations and internal safety guidelines, follow all safety protocols.
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment to ensure machines are operating safely and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare shift maintenance reports detailing any issues encountered, repairs performed, and machine downtime.
PROFILE
- Minimum with Diploma Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent field.
- Minimum with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, especially with electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting and is able to read technical drawings.
- Understanding how electrical systems function and operate, including basic knowledge of gears, pulleys, levers, bearings, shafts, wear.
- Being independent, creative, self-starting, responsible, drive to prevent machine stops, flexible and a good communicator
- Knows how to cope with changing priorities in a production environment.
- Able to perform shift work, Sunday, and Public Holiday.
