Qualifications
  • Good command of Mandarin (reading & writing); able to communicate in basic English and Malay.
  • Proactive, strong teamwork spirit with good communication and coordination skills.
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance or equipment engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with equipment management systems, maintenance processes, failure analysis and technical improvement.
  • Experienced in equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and improvement project implementation.
  • Knowledge of ISO systems, OEE efficiency metrics, energy management and spare parts control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and ERP/MES systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a shop‑floor environment; willing to work shifts and overtime (OT allowance provided).
  • Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and capability.
Responsibilities
Equipment Management System
  • Establish, maintain and improve equipment management procedures, maintenance standards and workflows.
  • Regularly update and manage equipment master records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Organize training for equipment operators and technicians to enhance maintenance skills and awareness.
  • Control spare parts cost and optimize inventory turnover.
Equipment Maintenance & Upkeep
  • Develop and execute annual and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) plans.
  • Monitor equipment inspection records and follow up on abnormalities promptly.
  • Control maintenance costs, evaluate repair quality and monitor improvement effectiveness.
Breakdown Handling & Technical Improvement
  • Lead major breakdown troubleshooting, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Analyze failure data and develop preventive improvement plans and optimization projects.
  • Drive equipment localization, energy‑saving upgrades and efficiency improvement initiatives to reduce cost.
Team Management & Coordination
  • Lead the equipment team, including training, skill enhancement and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate with the production team to arrange production and maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment stability and uptime.
  • Work with the procurement team to plan spare parts purchasing strategies and inventory management.
