A leading data center provider in Malaysia is seeking a ServiceNow Operations Specialist to enhance their operations. Position Description
Critical Facility Operations teams manage our buildings and ensure best-in-class data center services for our customers. These teams comprise of Critical Facility Engineers who are Vantage’s front-line for managing critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure operations. Providing best-in-class services requires in depth operational knowledge, and proficiency in critical facility management processes including service, change and incident management.
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Operations Specialist to support the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of our ServiceNow platform serving the Vantage APAC Region. This role will focus on supporting the existing instance configuration, working with the product owner and platform architect to design and deploy enhancements to workflows and development of new functionality. A key responsibility will be asset onboarding into the CMDB, auditing and improving its quality while supporting the Site Operations teams with preventative maintenance scheduling, and operational process automation to enhance service delivery and workflow governance.
Essential Job Functions
Manage user roles, groups, and permissions.
Maintain system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Onboard and maintain Configuration Items (CIs) in the CMDB, ensuring data integrity and alignment with asset hierarchies and alarm management structures.
Configure and optimise maintenance schedules using Work Order Management modules to support field operations and customer reporting.
Design and implement ServiceNow workflows and enhancements to support operational processes, including change management, incident handling, and preventative maintenance.
Develop and maintain procedures and training materials for platform use, including system upgrades and audit support.
Work closely with site teams, service desk, and IT to ensure platform alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in data center operations and Service Now use. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and tools used by the Critical Facility Operations teams.
Support our business strategies and standardisation of systems and processes, and process improvements in reporting capabilities.
Engage with key stakeholders to ensure that requirements are clearly documented, understood, communicated, planned and within the design of the system or process solutions and provide updates on milestones.
Contribute towards improved business process maturity by identifying and prioritising improvement projects and implement changes to processes and operations to improve data capture.
Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analysis or a related field.
3+ years of experience with ServiceNow administration and development.
Strong understanding of CMDB structure, asset lifecycle, and ITIL processes.
Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling and field service modules.
Exceptional quantitative, analytical skills with the ability to exercise clear and sound judgement, while demonstrating solid problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
