Job summary

A dental equipment company is seeking a Dental Chair/CBCT Equipment Technician in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining dental equipment at various sites, including clinics. This role requires a diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on dental devices. Candidates with their own transportation and knowledge of electronics will be valued in this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have at least a Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of successful experience in equipment maintenance preferred.
• Familiar with CBCT and dental equipment standards.

Job description

Overview

The Dental Chair / CBCT / Dental Equipment Technician will be primarily responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all dental chair / CBCT equipment installed in clinical and laboratory areas at the dentist's office or remote sites. This role includes troubleshooting dental devices provided to clients and performing regular preventative maintenance on all dental simulators for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain all dental chair / CBCT and related equipment in clinical and laboratory areas
• Provide routine maintenance of all dental chair / CBCT installed
• Repair a full range of CBCT and dental equipment, including dental chairs, suction pumps, compressors, etc.
• Maintain a stock of parts to complete essential repairs and ensure specific parts are on order for upcoming jobs
• Troubleshoot and repair or replace parts in case of machine breakdown
• Explain and demonstrate correct operation and preventive maintenance of medical equipment to staff
• Keep records of installation, maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment and compliance with regulations and applicable laws
• Assist the technical support manager with all technical dental issues relating to dental equipment including dental clinic space and sterilization equipment

Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field
• Candidates must possess their own transportation as outstation travels to other states is needed
• 2-3 years of successful experience and vocational or technical degree is preferred
• Familiar with CBCT / dental equipment, industry standards, and basic knowledge of repairs to dental chairs & equipment
• Extensive knowledge of electronics required
• Candidates with RPO license is a plus
