Job description

Key Responsibilities

Server & Infrastructure Management

• Manage, configure, and maintain Windows server across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‑V).
• Perform OS patching, updates, and security hardening.
• Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability.
• Add advantage on knowledge in Linux server.

Server Security

• Server hardening base on installed applications or requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Work with security tools (EDR/AV, SIEM, IDS) to ensure server security posture.

Backup & Recovery

• Maintain backup systems and perform regular recovery tests.
• Implement, test, and optimize disaster recovery plans.

Cloud & Hosting

• Manage cloud workloads (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Administer VPS, managed hosting, email servers, DNS, and web hosting infrastructure.

Support & Documentation

• Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated issues.
• Maintain detailed system documentation, configuration logs, and SOPs.
• Work with vendors and partners for hardware/software troubleshooting.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL).
• Experience with virtualization: VMware / Hyper‑V / Proxmox.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, routing, firewalling).
• Experience with storage systems (NAS/SAN/iSCSI).
• Familiar with backup solutions (Veeam, Acronis, etc.).
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Bash) is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience (or strong hands‑on equivalent).
• Industry certifications (MCSA, RHCSA, VMware, Veeam, Bitdefender, etc.) are added advantages.
