Job description

Crane Central Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and results-driven SEO Specialist to take full ownership of our search optimisation strategy. This is a full-time, standalone position — you will be the driving force behind our SEO efforts, with the freedom to plan, execute, and refine strategies without the constraints of a traditional marketing team structure.

Your primary focus will be to improve our organic search performance using proven SEO best practices, with the added advantage of applying AI-powered techniques to enhance results where relevant.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Conducting in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap identification
  • Optimising website structure, metadata, and on-page elements for maximum search visibility
  • Implementing white-hat on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve rankings and organic traffic
  • Monitoring and analysing website performance using SEO and analytics tools, then implementing data-driven improvements
  • Collaborating closely with the director and development team to ensure technical SEO best practices are implemented effectively
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest SEO algorithm changes, trends, and best practices
  • (Secondary/Advanced) Applying AI SEO techniques — including Large Language Model (LLM)–driven content optimisation, semantic search targeting, and AI-assisted topic clustering — to further strengthen organic visibility
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of proven SEO experience (retail, service, or IT industry experience is a strong plus)
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and white-hat SEO techniques
  • Proficiency in industry-standard SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AI-driven SEO concepts, including NLP-based keyword clustering, semantic search optimisation, and AI-assisted content analysis
