Job description

As the Senior Trust Accounting Manager at Providentia Services Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's trust accounting operations. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur office and is responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant management of client trust accounts.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee the day-to-day administration of trust accounts, including reconciliations, deposits, withdrawals and reporting.
2. Ensure trust accounting practices adhere to all relevant regulations and internal policies.
3. Liaise with clients, auditors and other stakeholders to provide timely and accurate trust account information.
4. Supervise and mentor a team of trust accountants, fostering their professional development.
5. Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of trust accounting operations.
6. Prepare detailed trust account reports and analysis for management review.
7. Support the firm's broader financial accounting and reporting responsibilities.

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2. 8+ years of experience in trust accounting or a similar senior financial role.
3. Strong technical knowledge of trust accounting principles, regulations and best practices.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Experienced in leading and developing a team of accounting professionals.
7. Proficiency in financial analysis and report generation.
8. Prior experience in public and private market securities, fund accounting and knowledge of SFRS/IFRS is an advantage.
9. Knowledge in trust administration system such as Navision, Trust Quay or Viewpoint is an advantage.
