Overview

The Senior Technical Sales Engineer (PdM) is responsible for driving business growth in Malaysia through hands-on technical sales, business development, and deal closure for the company’s Predictive Maintenance (PdM) products, systems, and solutions.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. Scope may evolve based on business needs and individual performance in managing the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, technical solution selling, tender participation, and contract closure. The role involves close engagement with end users, consultants, main contractors, distributors, and government-linked stakeholders across West and East Malaysia, working in close coordination with Singapore Group Leadership.

Work Arrangement & Travel

Outcome-driven role, evaluated on sales performance and deal closure. Frequent travel across West and East Malaysia is required for site visits, project meetings, tender briefings, and stakeholder engagement. Cross-border coordination with Singapore-based teams is integral to the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end technical sales activities from lead generation to deal closure
  • Promote and sell Predictive Maintenance products, systems, and solutions
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and commercial submissions
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial and infrastructure sectors
  • Build, manage, and convert a sales pipeline with defined revenue targets
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with end users, consultants, and system integrators
  • Identify and pursue government, GLC, and public-sector project opportunities
  • Support pre-qualification, technical compliance, and tender submissions
  • Attend tender briefings, site visits, and clarification meetings
  • Engage main contractors, EPCs, and project owners to position PdM solutions in project specifications
  • Support technical and commercial discussions during pre-award and post-award stages
  • Coordinate internal handover from sales to project execution teams
  • Work with appointed distributors and partners to support sales execution
  • Provide technical sales support and solution guidance to partners when required
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and finance teams on solution delivery and pricing
  • Provide regular sales updates, forecasts, and market feedback to management
Key Requirements
  • 8–12+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or solution selling in industrial or engineering environments
  • Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical background is required
  • Proven ability to close B2B deals and manage full sales cycles
  • Experience with government, GLC, or infrastructure tenders is highly preferred
  • Experience engaging main contractors, EPCs, or system integrators
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial systems, reliability engineering, or PdM technologies is an advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Malaysia
