Senior Sourcing Specialist (up to RM15K, negotiable)

Work Location: Menara Worldwide, Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable & Convertible to Permanent)
Salary: Up to RM15,000 per month (negotiable)
Work Arrangement: Fully office-based
Working Hours: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist to support sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier management within the professional services category. This role is highly visible and requires strong stakeholder management, the ability to support time‑sensitive tasks, and the capability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned suppliers, including contract negotiation, pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Conduct market research and provide benchmarking insights for decision-making.
  • Facilitate RFPs and work closely with internal stakeholders and Sourcing Managers to develop negotiation strategies.
  • Draft statements of work (SOW), LOAs, RFPs, and other contract‑related documents.
  • Drive alignment across cross‑functional project teams to meet sourcing and contracting timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their strategic needs and priorities.
  • Provide guidance to leadership on procurement strategies while ensuring compliance with our client’s global policies.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and supplier landscape within professional services.
  • Assess supplier performance and ensure delivery quality aligns with business expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of total working experience, including at least 5 years in senior‑level sourcing or procurement roles.
  • Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements in the technology sector (hardware, software, telco, SaaS, licensing, subscriptions).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Additional language skills (Korean or Mandarin) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management, issue‑spotting abilities, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, vendor management, contracting).
  • Proactive, self‑driven, and able to work in a matrix and fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Advanced qualifications in Business, Contracts, or Supply Chain.
  • Regional or MNC experience.
  • Familiarity with digital sourcing tools (SAP Ariba, iValua, Coupa).
  • Experience in TCO models, benchmarking, or RFX processes.
