A leading telecommunications firm based in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to develop and execute the IBS commercial strategy, focusing on market penetration and revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in telecommunications or real estate infrastructure, with at least 5 years in senior roles related to IBS or DAS. Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are essential. Develop and execute the IBS commercial strategy to drive revenue, market penetration, and profitability.
Identify and target high-priority buildings and market segments (offices, malls, hotels, hospitals, public venues) and implement targeted acquisition plans.
Lead business development and client engagement, securing access and commercial agreements.
Source, pitch, and secure IBS deployments by negotiating with building owners, developers, REITs, property managers, and MNOs on tenancy, access, and revenue models.
Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with key stakeholders, serving as the primary commercial contact.
Establish and manage partnerships with MNOs, contractors, and system integrators.
Collaborate with the IBS Technical Lead to ensure proposed technical solutions are feasible and aligned with commercial plans.
Monitor the progress and commercial impact of outsourced IBS projects overseen by the IBS Technical Lead.
Escalate risks that may affect commercial outcomes to management when required.
Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial IBS team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and outcome‑driven execution.
Define and monitor KPIs for commercial performance, deal closure, market coverage, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ensure commercial objectives comply with internal governance, processes, legal requirements, and OCK policies.
10+ years of experience in telecommunications, real estate infrastructure, or related sectors.
Minimum 5 years in senior commercial roles within IBS, DAS, or small cell portfolios.
Candidates with substantial commercial leasing experience, ideally from the property or commercial real estate sector, are strongly encouraged to apply, even if they lack prior telecommunications experience.
Proven track record in business growth, high‑value agreement negotiation, and client relationship management.
Established network across property developers, REITs, MNOs, and industry stakeholders.
Familiarity with indoor coverage solutions (IBS/DAS/small cells) sufficient to engage effectively with clients.
Strong commercial acumen and results‑oriented mindset.
Strategic thinking with ability to align business objectives with operational execution.
Leadership and team development experience in multi‑disciplinary or matrix environments.
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, and analytical skills to evaluate commercial opportunities and risk.
