Job summary

A premier hotel chain in Ipoh is seeking a dynamic sales professional to execute sales strategies and develop relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will generate new business leads, conduct client inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction through excellent service. An ability to meet sales targets and promote the upselling of services is vital. This role involves active participation in networking events and collaboration across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Identify and target potential clients through cold calls and networking.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
  • Conduct daily sales visits and arrange familiarization trips.
  • Generate new business leads and convert them into confirmed bookings.

Responsibilities
  • Execute sales action plans outlined in the hotel’s sales strategy.
  • Identify and target potential clients through cold call, networking, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned and other key accounts.
  • Conduct daily sales visits, initiate site inspections, and arrange familiarization trips for potential clients.
  • Generate new business leads and convert them into confirmed bookings.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Handle client inquiries, provide quotations, and conduct follow-ups.
  • Ensure excellent customer service before, during, and after client events or stays.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling of hotel services.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in sales meetings, pre/post-conference briefings, and contribute ideas for revenue and service improvement.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Collaborate with operations, front office, and banquet teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and networking events related to assigned markets, reporting market trends and insights.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
