Are you a highly skilled reservoir professional with a passion for optimizing field performance and driving strategic development?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Subsurface team at TotalEnergies EP Malaysia. This critical role will lead reservoir engineering activities across multiple operated and non-operated fields, ensuring robust production forecasts, reserves booking, and technical support for development projects.

Activities

Your Impact

As a key member of the Reservoir Surveillance & Operations team, you will:

  • Develop and maintain Prosper well models for production forecasting across operated fields (GoLaBa, B15, Jerun, Marjoram).
  • Contribute to Reservoir Management Plans and surveillance strategies for all fields.
  • Build and maintain the Sarawak Integrated Network model, including MBAL tank models and history matching for production and pressure data.
  • Perform long-term forecasting using DCA, blending, FRF, and PHASER in collaboration with HQ teams.
  • Develop dynamic simulation models to support project sanctioning, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • Provide technical support to RDG and RMO teams on well and reservoir modeling.
  • Coordinate competency development for G&R staff, organize training sessions, and ensure compliance with PETRONAS training commitments.
Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geosciences or Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in reservoir engineering, field management, and development activities. Exposure to exploration, appraisal, and JV management preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservoir engineering software (MBAL, GAP, PETREL, PROSPER), strong analytical skills, and broad knowledge of geophysics, geology, and production technology.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work in cross-functional teams and coach junior engineers.
