Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and at least 7 years of experience in civil and building works. Responsibilities include preparing tender documents, managing payments, conducting site evaluations, and assisting in budget optimization. The role is based at a project in Johor. Candidates must possess strong administrative and contract management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil, infrastructure or building works.
• Good in Taking-off and Contracts Administrative Works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sub-contract tender documents and evaluation reports.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress payments.
• Attend site evaluations and joint measurements.
• Review and certify sub-contractors’ payments.
• Prepare final measurements and accounts.
• Assist in value engineering and budget setting.

Responsibility

• Prepare sub-contract tender document for Procurement, evaluation report and Letter of Award to successful sub-contractors.
• Prepare and submit monthly progress payment.
• Attend to site evaluation / joint measurement.
• Review, recommend, certify and ‘check n balance’ of sub-contractors’ payment. Prepare and submit variation order and claims.
• Prepare final measurement and account.
• Assist in value engineering, cost optimization and budget setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil, infrastructure or building works.
