About the role

MCC Labels (Penang) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Purchaser/Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Perai, Penang. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement and sourcing activities that support our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies at the best possible cost.

Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, agreements and relationships to achieve favourable terms and conditions.

Analyse market trends, pricing, and sourcing opportunities to identify cost savings and new suppliers.

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and finance teams to optimise inventory levels and minimise operational disruptions.

Monitor, track and report on purchasing KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the procurement team.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience in a senior purchasing or sourcing role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.

Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, procurement best practices, and cost reduction strategies.

Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision making.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Adaptable to change and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
