Job summary

A construction company in Selangor seeks a QESH System Coordinator to oversee the implementation of QESH Management System within the department. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering and experience in project planning and coordination. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ISO standards, preventing work-related injuries, and reporting QESH performance to management. Job description
  • Implement all policies, activities, procedures and instructions as required by the QESH Management System.
  • Provide leadership and demonstrate commitment to the overall implementation of the QESH Management System within the department.
  • Take accountability for the effectiveness of the QESH Management System in the department.
  • Be responsible and accountable for preventing work‑related injuries and ill health within the area of responsibility. Ensure the QESH Management System conforms to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Promote the use of a process approach, risk‑based thinking and life‑cycle perspective across the organisation.
  • Promote customer focus and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements as well as applicable legal and other relevant requirements.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, plan appropriate actions and ensure their implementation.
  • Report on the performance of the QESH Management System, including departmental QESH performance, to Top Management.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing initial and revised project programmes, monitoring and measuring progress, analysing updates, maintaining records and preparing project schedules.
  • Assist the Project Manager in updating and preparing progress reports.
  • Coordinate and monitor resource control, as well as quality, environmental, safety and health performance for assigned projects.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
Job Requirements
  • A recognised Degree in Civil Engineering or related field or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years working experience in planning and coordination of civil and building construction projects.
  • Dynamic, independent and possess strong managerial and analytical skills.
  • Preferably registered with MIEM/P.Eng.
