A leading financial institution in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage key strategic projects across multiple countries. This role involves overseeing project lifecycles, driving teams to deliver solutions, and managing budgets effectively. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in leadership, communication, and stakeholder management, ensuring project goals align with organizational objectives.
Manage new key strategic projects to meet project/program goals, including development of clear objectives, timelines, costs, and resources.
Initiate and set goals for the project/program. Strategize their directions/objectives, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and organizational goals.
Manage strategic projects/programs covering multiple countries across the region.
Lead and drive teams of subject matter experts to produce architectural changes and technical solutions to meet the project and business needs.
Deliver strong leadership skills with proven ability to plan, manage, and implement large-scale, complex, and high-cost projects successfully, providing the highest value for the organization.
Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects under a program-level initiative.
Manage interdependencies and risks, driving resolutions of key issues, and escalating risks and issues for guidance and decision where necessary.
Manage all activities within the project/program management lifecycle, ensuring completion on time, within the agreed budget and scope.
Manage the project/program budget effectively, closely monitoring and tracking costs incurred as the project/program progresses.
Be responsible for project/program quality, embedding quality processes where applicable and relevant.
Manage project/program risks, embedding a risk management process.
Develop and execute an efficient communication strategy to ensure effective communication with all levels of management within the team.
Build strong stakeholder relationships with both internal (senior management) and external (vendors and suppliers). Influence stakeholders with different agendas to align with project/program objectives.
Manage and develop the project/program staffing plan, identify hiring needs, develop the position description, and conduct recruitment.
Identify sourcing requirements for the project/program, manage sourcing activities, and optimize to meet set goals.
Manage and oversee the test management team.
Manage suppliers’ contracts, facilitate negotiations, and identify negotiation areas with suppliers.
Responsible for the administration, supervision, coaching, development, and performance management of staff within the team/section. Provide technical leadership and direction to subordinates and other project staff.
Develop, implement, and socialize best practices for performing project-related tasks within the organization.
Establish and effectively execute the governance framework, including audit and risk management during project execution.
Communicate project progress and statuses to the Board of Directors, relevant RHB Committees, Senior Management, PSC, and project team regularly and in a timely manner.
Provide accurate and up-to-date reporting and status updates on a regular basis to Group Project Management.
