The Marketplace Project Manager is a commercially driven leader responsible for shaping the marketplace’s revenue strategy; defining monetization pathways, take-rate models, competitive positioning, and value propositions that differentiate CompAsia in the recommerce ecosystem. The role requires strong business acumen, balancing commercial ambition with operational discipline to ensure the platform scales profitably across markets.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the role serves as the central orchestrator between Product, Tech, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, and external vendors translating the CEO’s strategic direction into executable project roadmaps and delivering a scalable, high-performing marketplace that becomes a core revenue engine for CompAsia.
CompAsia is a digital and technology company providing end-to-end solutions for certified pre-owned devices, focusing on the mobile phone life-cycle value chain. Our services span Trading, Financing, and Insurance, delivering a comprehensive mobile phone lifecycle experience.
Define the commercial vision of the marketplace, including revenue models, take-rate structures, pricing logic, and monetization streams (e.g., listing fees, subscription tiers, premium seller services).
Develop a clear commercial framework that differentiates CompAsia from competitors; faster turnaround, integrated trade-in, logistics advantage, device quality standards, warranties, and cross-border scalability.
Conduct competitive intelligence and propose innovation that strengthens marketplace market position.
Establish a disciplined PMO rhythm for the marketplace: sprint cycles, governance meetings, RAID logs, and progress tracking.
Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect delivery timelines.
Manage multiple vendors, agencies, and technology partners, ensuring contract adherence and performance standards.
Ensure documentation, processes, and workflows are built for scalability and repeatability.
Ensure product requirements directly support commercial competitiveness, including differentiating features that enhance trust, transparency, price benchmarking, and fulfillment speed.
Ensure marketplace UX/UI aligns with global standards and CompAsia’s brand promise.
Champion customer-centric design through continuous feedback loops and usability testing.
Validate that the platform supports multi-country rollouts, device categories, pricing models, trade-in flows, and integrated logistics.
Lead the commercial planning with Revenue, B2C, B2B, Retail, and Online teams to define product categories, pricing frameworks, seller models, and volume projections.
Build the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for platform launch: target users, acquisition channels, partnerships, and conversion levers.
Develop business cases, ROI and unit-economics models for marketplace phases: launch, scale-up, and profitability.
Identify commercial bottlenecks (supply, pricing, SLA, seller quality) and implement solutions to maximize marketplace adoption and revenue.
Define success metrics: GMV, conversion rate, CAC, take rate, repeat rate, platform uptime, etc.
Set up dashboards and reporting mechanisms for CEO-level visibility.
Use data insights to drive continuous improvements to marketplace efficiency, revenue, and customer experience.
Stay updated on marketplace trends, competitive models, and emerging digital commerce innovations relevant to CompAsia.
