Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possess 5-8 years of experience in the M&E industry. Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, and resources, monitoring site progress, and preparing technical documentation. Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is essential for success in this role.

Job description

Manage project from commencement to completion, including performing control tasks on budgets, schedules, manpower, materials and site resources coordination

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.

Able to interpret technical and engineering drawings & execute mechanical & electrical engineering works.

Review design and tender documents from clients/consultants.

Coordinate electrical, mechanical, ACMV, ELV, fire protection and related works with all internal & external parties

Attend tender interviews, client-consultant meetings, project meetings, and technical meetings with relevant stakeholders

Prepare contract documents, drawings, progress reports, method statements and technical documentation

Monitor site progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with drawings & specifications

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

Minimum 5-8 years working experience in M&E industry

Strong hands-on knowledge of LV, ELV, ACMV, fire protection and building services

Able to work independently and can handle multiple projects

Proven experience in site coordination and managing clients, suppliers & contractors
