Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager and providing regular updates on project progress, technical challenges, and team development initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior project engineers, focusing on developing their technical competence, independent project handling capabilities, and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Guide junior engineers through the full project lifecycle – from planning, design review, and procurement coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning – ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
  • Actively train and coach project teams on technical aspects of electrical switchboard systems, power distribution solutions, and related equipment to enhance their engineering knowledge and decision‑making ability.
  • Promote independent thinking and technical ownership among junior engineers by providing structured guidance, delegating responsibilities effectively, and encouraging initiative in resolving project challenges.
  • Develop and implement structured training modules for junior engineers, including hands‑on project exposure, troubleshooting simulations, and technical knowledge‑sharing sessions.
  • Provide advanced technical support for complex project issues, acting as a technical escalation point and ensuring timely resolution of engineering or site‑related challenges.
  • Coordinate closely with cross‑functional teams (design, procurement, production, QA/QC, and site teams) to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with customer specifications.
  • Monitor and review project execution quality, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and best engineering practices.
  • Actively identify potential risks or technical gaps in projects and collaborate with the team to formulate proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging knowledge sharing, post‑project reviews, and lessons‑learned sessions to enhance project execution efficiency.

  • Actively participate in leadership and technical training programs to stay updated with industry trends and new electrical engineering technologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the project team’s technical competencies, identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education & Working Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 years working experience in the related field.
Technical Skills
  • Proven track record of managing engineering projects, preferably in LV/MV switchboard
  • Strong background in power system analysis and the principles of Low and Medium Voltage Systems.
  • Knowledge of IEC standards, specifically for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage products (Siemens preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN) and electrical design software
  • Excellent project management skills: certification or coursework in project management
  • Experience in project planning, budgeting, and execution
Leadership
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working with clients, consultants, and site contractors
  • Strong initiative in communication; proactive in sharing ideas and asking questions.
