Role

Senior Project Electrical Engineer – Cloud & Service Providers

This role combines global technical leadership for strategic Internet Giant accounts with project-level leadership for Cloud & Service Provider (CSP) datacenter projects. You will act as the primary global technical referent for up to three targeted Global Application Centre (GAC) accounts, while also leading the technical tendering and execution of major datacenter projects.

You will coordinate international engineering teams, define standardized solutions, influence customer technical strategies, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable electrical and integrated solutions.

What will you do?
  1. Global Technical Leadership for Strategic Accounts (GAC – Internet Giants)
    • Serve as the global technical point of contact for assigned Internet Giant accounts.
    • Understand customer technical drivers (cost, lead time, robustness, sustainability, scalability, etc.) and leverage Schneider Electric’s full portfolio to anticipate and shape future solutions.
    • Stay well connected with Line of Businesses to remain up to date on new equipment, systems, and technology evolutions.
    • Proactively recommend technical concepts and enhancements before RFQs are issued.
    • Lead the design and standardization of new or enhanced global solutions to be deployed across all regions/countries.
    • Develop complete technical design packages to enable knowledge transfer globally.
    • Ensure standardized solutions are consistently applied across all tenders, driving efficiency and global alignment.
    • Act as technical referent to Regional Application Centre Technical Leaders throughout tendering and execution.
    • Collect lessons learned and best practices across projects to continuously improve global solutions.
  2. Technical Leadership for Tenders & Execution Projects (CSP Datacenters)
    • Lead and approve basic and detailed technical design for integrated MV/LV, UPS, busway, cooling, EPMS, BMS, transformers, and e‑house solutions.
    • Ensure all technical deliverables meet customer requirements and SE governance (quality, safety, cybersecurity, robustness).
    • Oversee engineering activities from design development through FAT, SAT, prototype testing, and project closure.
    • Optimize designs using SE’s product and solution portfolio to improve profitability and reduce technical risks.
  3. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Work closely with Tender Managers, Sales, Project Managers, engineering teams, factories, suppliers, and subcontractors.
    • Lead technical coordination of all project stakeholders across global regions.
    • Identify the need for expert support and coordinate specialized engineering contributions.
    • Serve as the single technical point of contact for customers and internal teams.
  4. Risk, Opportunity & Change Management
    • Identify technical risks, opportunities, and deviations from contract or agreed design.
    • Support project leads in specifying change impacts and obtaining variation orders.
    • Drive resolution of major technical issues throughout tendering and execution.
  5. Customer Engagement
    • Lead all technical discussions, workshops, and clarifications with customers.
    • Build trusted long-term relationships and secure customer buy‑in at key technical milestones.
  6. Quality, Methods, Tools & Standardization
    • Drive standardization of technical solutions and processes across all assigned accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with SE engineering processes (CPP, TDP), quality standards, and governance principles.
    • Lead corrections of technical or quality issues during execution.
  7. Community of Practice, Coaching & Knowledge Sharing
    • Contribute to global and regional Communities of Practice and Technical Excellence networks.
    • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
    • Stay updated on industry standards, datacenter architectures, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or relevant Engineering field.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • 7+ years leading technical scopes in customer projects or 5–8 years in MV/LV electrical distribution leadership roles.
  • Experience in datacenter, cloud & service provider, or Internet Giant customer environments.
  • Technical expertise in MV & LV electrical distribution, UPS systems, transformers, busways, EPMS/BMS, cooling/HVAC systems, and e‑house design (mechanical, structural, HVAC).
  • Experience working on international or multi‑country projects is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership and ability to navigate complex, multicultural, matrix organizations.
  • Excellent communication—clear, concise, and able to influence technical decisions.
  • Strong customer‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, share knowledge, and coach others.
  • Strong competency in reading/applying international standards.
  • High agility, problem‑solving mindset, and ownership mentality.
