Senior/ Process Engineer (plastic injection molding)

Our client is an established manufacturing company specializing in precision plastic components for various industries. With a strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, the company is known for its advanced technical capabilities and close collaboration with customers to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day‑to‑day secondary process and assembly operations to ensure smooth production flow and timely output.


• Ensure all activities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and support audit, documentation, and system upkeep.


• Review production performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive RCA / CAPA to improve quality and efficiency.


• Monitor and maintain secondary process equipment, coordinating with maintenance on repairs, servicing, and documentation updates.


• Support new product introduction (NPI) by aligning process, machine, jig, and tooling requirements with relevant teams.


• Perform cycle time studies, line balancing, layout optimisation, and drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.


• Lead daily production meetings, manage manpower planning, and ensure workforce discipline and performance.


• Participate in 5S/6S, lean, KAIZEN and Gemba activities to enhance overall process effectiveness.


• Prepare and update SOPs, work instructions, and other operational documentation.

Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.


• Minimum 1 year of experience for Engineer level; 3+ years for Senior Engineer level, preferably in secondary processes or assembly environments.


• Strong understanding of quality and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO standards).


• Experience with secondary processes such as pad printing, silk screening, or laser marking is an added advantage.


• Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis skills.


• Familiar with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methods, and productivity tools.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
