Job summary

A leading airline company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Officer for Cargo Operations. The candidate will be responsible for planning and managing cargo operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating activities for seamless handling of shipments. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in relevant fields and 3–5 years of experience in air-cargo operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a self-motivated attitude, are essential. This role may require shift work, including weekends.

Career Opportunities: Senior Officer Cargo Operations (22586)

The position is responsible for planning and managing cargo operations and administrative activities, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and in full compliance with the company’s regulations, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), local regulatory authorities, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Accountability

• Assist with all aspects of warehouse operations and activities in the export, import, storage, delivery, and front-office areas.
• Coordinate liaison, ramp and airside activities to ensure smooth handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with Ground Handling Services for both landside and airside operations, covering tasks such as breakdown, delivery, system updates, and more.
• Ensure seamless and orderly cargo delivery by verifying MAWB, ensuring Customs documentation is complete, and confirming delivery order and clearance authority before releasing goods to the consignee.
• Submit weekly and monthly performance reports to Immediate Superior.

Qualification & Working Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Aviation Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Administration, with 1 year working experience in related field.
• SPM/SPMV/DVM/STPM with 2 years working experience in related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in air-cargo/air-freight operations, including handling imports/exports, warehousing, delivery, documentation, etc.

Areas of Experience

• Good knowledge & experience in cargo warehouse operations & handling.
• Have experience working with Cargo Agents & Ground Handler
