A leading healthcare company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a team in achieving sales targets in the nutritional sector. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in nutrition or food science, along with a minimum of 2 years' sales experience. Responsibilities include developing strategic plans, coaching team members, and maintaining customer relationships. Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is required for effective communication within diverse markets.
Take responsibility for annual sales target. Carry out adequate ethical and operating plans, implement and take actions to meet company goals.
Measure progress against plans and communicate to Medical Sales Manager. Work on achieving success stories, positive performance.
Implement brand strategies at the responsible territories assigned that result in the achievement of set sales target and market share target.
Typically take charge of territory with mix of primary & secondary account/hospital.
Create a highly motivated team environment that fosters superior performance.
Ensure KRAs are met or exceeded by team members and self.
Accomplish goals within boundaries established by company policies and sound ethical practices (WHO code).
Develop and implement tactical plans with team members to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, via effective territory management system and brand/medical marketing plans.
Actively lead the learning and development of self and team members based on their needs, motivation and business requirements.
Actively assess team members skills against core competencies.
Provide on‑going feedback, coaching and counseling to team members.
Exhibit excellence in identifying and exceeding customer expectations. Build and maintain "win‑win" partnership with key customers.
Change style and approach in response to differing circumstances. Maintain effectiveness over time to fundamental changes in environment.
Manage resources of the assigned territories within budget given and adhering to company procedures.
Conduct in‑house training programs for existing and new team members of the Medical Sales Force.
Conduct on‑the‑job training to other reps focusing on achieving superior sales force quality, effectiveness and productivity.
Assist Training/SFE Lead in planning and developing individual training programs aimed at improving salesforce quality focused on excellent product knowledge, professional selling skills, effective territory management and salesmanship during in‑house and field training and POAs.
Coach other reps to conduct effective presentation skills.
Assist Training/SFE Lead in planning and creating developmental plans for other reps focusing on improvement of competencies (Business Building Process, Selling Skills, Communication, Winning Attitude and cultivating the Right Culture).
Liase with Medical Marketing Department in assessing and providing feedback on the effectiveness of the CME and CMP activities.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field especially related to nutrition/food science background.
In‑depth knowledge of the medical business environment, including knowledge in nutritional sciences and nutritional products.
Successful nutritional sales experience at the territory, with at least 2 years’ experience in the field.
Team leadership experience in sales or related field, with strong team leadership abilities.
Knowledge of the importance of coaching and mentoring techniques and their applications.
Understanding of the importance of continuous training and development of the team members for superior competitive edge.
Successful experience in conducting presentations to internal and/or external customers and possess the ability to train internal and/or external customers on product and related sciences.
Language: English, Malay and Mandarin.
