Overview

• Responsible for all mechanical drawings that include mechatronic (gear or cable driven) lift systems. The key requirement for this position is to have a clear understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Roles And Responsibilities

• Carry out the mechanical designs and meeting the international standards
• Creating complex assemblies and bill of materials (BOMs)
• Conduct stack-up tolerancing of complex assemblies
• Lead the engineering team on Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis
• Collaborate with a cross functional team to carry out prototype validation
• Develop supportive documents in accordance with applicable norms and directives
• Release products through New Product Introduction (NPI) protocols
• Support manufacturing and quality engineering teams for routine applications and continuous improvement
• Working with cross-functional team members within and outside the engineering group
• Interaction with customers on all aspects of product designs and applications

Must be experienced in the following areas

• Mechanical designing with accuracy in tolerancing
• Mechanical designing in Gear transmission, Spindles and Pulley systems
• Mechanical designs for mass production
• Basic knowledge and working experience with PCBA/ power supplies and dc motors would be helpful
• Developing, testing and evaluating of cost-effective linear actuator frame systems considering applicable norms and directives
• Managing international projects using engineering principles and techniques
• Performs any other assignments as and when necessary

Requirements

• Require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 to 10 years of job experience
• The position will be located in the Penang office
• Hands-on working experience in design software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, Pro-E
• Product data management system such as PDM
• Enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
• A good written and verbal skill in English with the ability to communicate with external and internal teams is essential
• High focus on company’s goals and objectives
• Strong people’s skills to be able to work as a team member and contribute towards the growth of a healthy work environment at Actiforce
• Ability to present creative solutions and work independently
