Job description
Our Client:

We are partnering with a MNC that specializes in manufacturing of HVAC solutions. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen and Total Quality Management (TQM), to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Design and refine production workflows, facility layouts, and integrated systems to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous performance standards and testing protocols to ensure all output meets international quality and safety benchmarks, such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Identify opportunities for waste elimination and cost-reduction projects to enhance manufacturing profitability.
  • Develop comprehensive technical manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WI) for workforce development.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of machinery, from initiating tooling and fixture designs to coordinating preventative maintenance schedules with the production team.
  • Manage compliance with local industrial regulations, including mechanical safety certifications and energy utility coordination.
  • Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) transitions and lead root cause analysis investigations for any process failures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related disciplines).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the HVAC or heavy engineering sector.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite; experienced in managing technical portals and documentation.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage multi-departmental collaborations and solve complex problems under pressure.
  • Professional fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and stakeholders.
