Senior Manager, Product Innovation (Confectionery)

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid)

A global confectionery powerhouse and seeking a highly strategic and experienced Senior Manager to drive its innovation roadmap. This is a crucial middle-to-senior leadership role, requiring a driven individual with deep technical expertise, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record in the confectionery sector. You will be responsible for defining the future of our product portfolio in the high-growth Asian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of innovative product solutions from concept to launch, including formulation, technical feasibility studies, pilot trials, and scale-up (70-100 projects annually).
  • Co-lead the end-to-end innovation process, starting from ideation. You will partner strongly with the Marketing team to establish the company\'s innovation roadmap and Future Portfolio.
  • Drive value leadership and profitability by implementing strategic cost saving initiatives through recipe optimization
  • Provide technical business leadership for product development and innovation, and help establish the future R&D pilot plan for the region.
  • Exhibit strong influencing skills to manage key business stakeholders, including the General Manager and leadership team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 10-15 years’ experience in Product Development and Innovation, in a middle to senior level managerial capacity. Must have experience managing people and managing key stakeholders.
  • Mandatory confectionary background, with a chocolate background being the top preference.
  • Must be driven, highly proactive, possess strong strategic thinking, and exhibit a "hunger for growth"
  • Good command of English is essential for regional and global collaboration
