Job summary

A healthcare organization in Johor is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement strategies, manage inventory, and ensure optimal supplier performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in procurement and 5 years in management, with strong leadership and negotiation skills. Qualifications

Job description

Partnering with business units to Implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and maximize value received from suppliers

Manage spending and perform all procurement activities including demand management, supply analysis, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and administer the procurement process of the organization

Lead and manage the resources in the Central Store assisting business units to control inventory levels

Identify and implement best practice processes and collaborate with business units in procurement activities

Work closely with business units to lead procurement activities starting with demand management, supply analysis, supplier identification, sourcing execution, negotiation, delivery planning, purchase execution and ongoing performance management and improvement

Set policy and guideline for delivering commercial and best value procuring process for the business

Lead transformational activities to build procurement capabilities and improve procurement efficiency to reduce lead time in the procurement process

Achieving Optimal Inventory Level by monitoring economic order quantity (EOQ) and regular physical counts of Central store and stores in business units

Requirements
  • Minimum Degree in any field and preferably a degree in supply chain management
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of Purchasing/Procurement with technical and planning ability for procurement/inventory functions and 5 years of management experience
  • Proactive, systematic, result oriented and able to lead the team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
