Senior Manager/Manager Strategic Planning & Investment
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager/Manager, Strategic Planning and Investment to lead strategic planning, fundraising, corporate development, and enterprise risk management. This role is critical in shaping the organization’s long-term direction, driving growth through new ventures and M&A, and ensuring robust governance and risk oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the organization’s strategic and corporate plans.
- Facilitate annual planning cycles, performance reviews, and strategic alignment across business units.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify capital needs and lead fundraising initiatives including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments.
- Engage with investors, financial institutions, and advisors to structure and negotiate funding deals.
- Prepare board-level strategy papers, dashboards, and scenario models.
- Corporate Business Development, New Ventures & M&A
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic ventures.
- Lead feasibility studies, market entry assessments, and financial modeling.
- Develop investment proposals and business cases for executive and board approval.
- Manage end-to-end M&A processes including target screening, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including investment banks, legal advisors, and strategic partners.
- Design and implement enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies.
- Identify and assess strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
- Develop risk registers, mitigation plans, and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Conduct scenario planning and stress testing to support decision-making.
- Report risk exposures and mitigation status to senior management and the board.
- Promote a risk-aware culture and ensure alignment with corporate governance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in strategy, investment, corporate planning, fundraising, or risk management.
- Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives, capital raising, M&A transactions, and risk frameworks.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, board-level presentations, and cross-functional leadership.
