About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Engineering to join our team in Simpang Ampat Penang. In this full‑time, permanent role, you will oversee and manage the engineering function, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes and equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Department Manager for Engineering you will provide direction and lead the Mechanical Engineering team, Manufacturing Engineering Team, NPI & Automation Team, and MSG & Tool Room Team. You will lead and control NPI activities, manage product, process, and quality for PCBA and Box Build operations, create tactical plans, and execute activities in accordance with company SOP to meet desired outcomes while establishing strong customer relationships.

As a hands‑on leader in Mechanical Engineering you will meet customer demands and optimize designs for manufacturability and quality. You will lead Section Managers and Engineers to drive daily product, quality, equipment, and process issues, monitor process stability and equipment stability up to Box Build, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality requirements.

Additionally, you will provide technical direction and guidance on Mechanical Engineering related to manufacturing of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, Electro‑Mechanical Sub‑Assemblies, and Box Build products; ensure optimal application of technology and engineering resources; lead teams in developing continuous process improvements; and champion new product introduction.

You will collaborate with Business Development & Program Management Teams, acting as the key technical lead with customers when needed to meet design criteria and optimize concepts during product delivery. You will be a strategic thinker, a fast learner, technology‑driven, analytical, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You will lead discussions, deliver effective presentations, gain the confidence of leaders, peers, and team members, and influence decisions.

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum Degree or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering with solid knowledge in engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering & Design New Product Introduction teams.
  • Experience in new product introduction, process development, engineering, design, and mold‑tooling design.
  • Experience in PCBA / Test Development is an added advantage.
  • Experience with quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 90044 (or similar).
  • Experience in FDA implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in Six Sigma implementations.
  • Root cause analysis and validation knowledge.
  • Experience establishing manufacturing process assembly.
  • Engineering change management and engineering technical capability.
  • Understanding of quality standards.
  • Core competencies: communication, teamwork, innovation, assertiveness, responsibility, self‑discipline, drive for excellence.
