About the Role

Sitecore seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead our data engineering initiatives across cloud platforms. The successful candidate will manage two high-performing teams: one focused on cloud vendor cost data, and the other on product usage data, driving data strategy, optimizing cloud data solutions, and ensuring delivery of actionable insights to support business decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and manage two specialized data engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Drive initiatives to optimize the collection, processing, and analysis of cloud vendor cost data and product usage data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, finance, and IT teams, to develop and execute data strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance across all data engineering projects.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement within the data engineering lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on the adoption of new data technologies and methodologies.
• Monitor and manage team performance, setting clear objectives and ensuring accountability for deliverables.

What You Need to Succeed

• Proven experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Deep expertise in Azure cloud services, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Databricks or similar technologies.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance requirements in a cloud environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
