Job Summary

The Project Integration Division (PID) is responsible for all strategic and large capital investments of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP). As part of PID's Project Integration team, the Senior Manager/Manager, Civil /Infra, is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects within scope, timeline, and budget whilst adhering to industry best practices in quality and safety. You will lead and manage a team of engineers supporting project managers with project, contract management, site management, and QA/ QC activities.

Job Description
  • Support Project Managers with the smooth execution of projects in accordance with the Division's Project Implementation Framework and ensure projects adhere to the QA/QC standards, as specified in the contracts and agreed upon in the quality plans.
  • Responsible for coordinating site activities by internal resources, consultants, and contractors on project deliverables (electrical, civil or equipment‑related projects).
  • Liaise with local authorities (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. Build a strong relationship with relevant stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Inspect and validate the quality of work done for the assigned projects to verify and ensure adherence to the quality requirements and compliance with the specifications and standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise project documentation, progress reports, specifications, drawings, manuals, checklists and relevant records at designated document repository points.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture based on the lessons learned from past projects and provide recommendations for future enhancement.
  • Mentor and develop the project staff by providing guidance and leadership to enhance team capabilities.
  • Observe and drive safety rules and practices on site.
  • Effectively execute other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Structural or any Engineering‑related field.
  • Minimum 10‑15 years of project management experience in civil, infrastructure, electrical, mechanical, port, or maritime‑related industries.
  • The seniority in the role would depend on the relevant experience, people management, and skillset the candidate possesses.
  • Exposure to and understanding of Electrical Networks, SCADA systems, HV & LV, Building Services and Infrastructure (Land, Road, Water, Sewerage, etc.) or port‑related areas would be preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and directly manage a team of 2‑4 people.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an added advantage.
  • Well‑structured and able to create an overview of issues and follow up thoroughly until resolutions are reached.
  • Proficient with MS Office and MS Project suite of applications.
  • Strong presentation skills, highly organised, able to communicate effectively and interact with senior leaders or executives.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, building strong working relationships and working collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay.
