Job summary

A leading talent solutions company in Malaysia, Sarawak is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner to oversee maintenance activities ensuring equipment reliability and safety. The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industry, and strong proficiency in CMMS tools. This role includes leading preventive and corrective maintenance efforts, preparing work orders, and mentoring junior planners while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years experience in maintenance planning in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
  • Experience in shutdown / turnaround planning.
  • Proficient in CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, Oracle, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and scheduling of preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance.
  • Prepare detailed work orders including scope, manpower, materials, tools, and permits.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Contractors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs: backlog, schedule compliance, MTBF/MTTR.
  • Optimize spare parts usage and manpower allocation.
  • Mentor junior planners and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company standards.

Job Overview

The Senior Maintenance Planner leads the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. The role oversees preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance programs, optimizes resources and materials, and minimizes equipment downtime, supporting smooth and safe operations across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Contractors to ensure smooth execution
