A leading IT services company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with 6-9 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM, and have prior experience in CardLink or VisionPLUS development. Responsibilities include participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), understanding banking concepts, and familiarity with the acquiring process. This role requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills, alongside excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Prior experience with CardLink or VisionPLUS development.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Knowledge of Easytrieve is a plus.
• Strong understanding of banking concepts, preferably in cards.
• Familiarity with the acquiring process.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in the banking and financial services industry is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work on development activities.
• Understand and implement banking concepts, with a preference for experience in cards.
• Must know the acquiring process.
• Be knowledgeable in any scheduling tools.
• Good to know about compliance requirements.
