Job summary

A multinational manufacturing company based in Malaysia, Kedah is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and support. The role involves contract review, managing compliance matters, and handling corporate legal issues. The ideal candidate will hold a BA or MA in Law, have over 5 years of experience in a similar role, and possess excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with local management and stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and support.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience as Legal Counsel, Legal Advisor or Company Secretary preferably in a MNC.
• Excellent knowledge of contract law, company and corporate law.
• Ability to analyze and handle complex legal topics and offer efficient and workable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Providing legal advice and support in all legal matters, reporting to the Group General Counsel.
• Responsibility for contract review and negotiations.
• Act as point of contact for all compliance matters.
