Job summary

A leading marketing company in Malaysia is seeking a Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will develop compliance policies, conduct assessments, and deliver training to employees. Candidates should possess a Degree in Law, at least 5 years of experience in a legal and compliance role, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant local laws and regulations.

Policy Development and Enforcement: Assist in developing, updating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

Reporting and Documentation: Conduct regular compliance assessments within the Company, maintain thorough records of compliance activities and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.

Training and Awareness: Deliver training programs for employees to ensure awareness of compliance obligations. Keep employees updated on any changes in regulations or internal policies.

Monitoring and Reviews: Continuously monitor regulatory developments and update Company practices accordingly. Perform regular reviews of business practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Regulatory Liaison: Act as a liaison between the Company and regulatory bodies if necessary.

Advisory Role: Provide compliance-related advice and support to various departments to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Law
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal and compliance role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
