Overview

Responsible to plan and deliver teaching, developing learning materials and assessment questions, grading students’ exam scripts, supervising and involved in research projects and publications. The goal is to recruit and retain students based on your expertise and drive sustainable financial growth through maintaining and upgrading the quality of university courses and programmes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach, develop and coordinate the delivery of courses via Google Meet.
• Undertaking research projects and publishing academic journals in relevant areas.
• Responsible for preparing, developing, and upgrading learning materials and assessment questions.
• Ensure relevant courses and programmes comply with the MQA regulatory body requirements.
• Grade and review assignments, practicum projects, APEL assessments and final examinations scripts.
• Identify and propose qualified external SMEs, tutors and examiners.
• Supervise, review, assess and examine students’ research projects.
• Provide academic consultation to students and communicate with external tutors via MyINSPIRE platform.
• Assisting faculty with other tasks relevant to the University and all other duties assigned by the Faculty and Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master Degree/Doctor of Philosophy in related fields, Doctor of Philosophy (Education) or Doctor of Education Degree.
• Proven teaching working experience as a lecturer or tutor or facilitator in the education industry or in a higher education institution.
• For Medical and Health Sciences, candidates must have at least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Medical Officer (AMO), along with relevant clinical experience and a valid, active Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• A strong record of teaching adult learners, as well as familiarity with ODL teaching methods
• Ability to manage a heavy workload, projects and multi-tasking.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and guidance, and able to handle uncertainty.
• High skill in oral and written communication both in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines under fast-changing circumstances.
• Energetic and independent person with good organisational skills such as teamwork and creativity in problem-solving.
• Established a high degree of integrity and regarded honesty as a high priority.
• Ability to use, communicate, teach, interact and complete the task using computer technology and other associated technology.
• Ready to conduct online tutorials at night or weekends
