Undertake research and consultancy, and contribute publications in the fields of logistics and strategic management. Contribute to university initiatives related to quality enhancement, institutional ranking, and revenue generation.

Key Roles

• Conduct teaching and learning activities in line with the curriculum and syllabus to prepare graduates for the workforce.
• Carry out academic responsibilities in accordance with university standards, including assessments, student mentoring, and class administration.
• Supervise students in coursework and Final Year Projects.
• Undertake research and consultancy, and contribute publications in the fields of logistics and strategic management.
• Contribute to university initiatives related to quality enhancement, institutional ranking, and revenue generation.
• Assume additional responsibilities such as course or program coordination on a rotational basis within the department.

Requirements

• PhD in Law, Legal Studies, or a business-related legal field is preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Law, Business Law, Commercial Law, or a related specialization.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or Bar qualification (optional but advantageous).
• Training in higher education teaching and learning (e.g., Teaching & Learning Certification, PPG, or equivalent).
• Strong familiarity with the Malaysian legal framework, commercial codes and contract laws.
• Minimum of 1–3 years teaching law-related subjects at tertiary level, preferably in Commercial Law, Law of Contract, or Business Law.
• At least 2 years of professional practice or consultancy experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or public institution (preferred).
• Prior exposure to legal practice through internships, pupillage, or short-term experience in a legal firm or corporate setting is an added advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to teach, inspire, and engage diverse student audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, negotiation, presentation, decision-making, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage academic responsibilities and coordinate staff and student development initiatives effectively.
