Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Digital or Graphic Media Design

Sunway University is seeking a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Digital or Graphic Media Design within the School of American Education. The incumbent will play a key role in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as conducting impactful research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, labs, and workshops in Digital or Graphic Media Design related subjects.
• Develop, update, and review course materials to ensure alignment with industry trends and MQA academic standards.
• Conduct research in Digital or Graphic Media Design related fields and contribute to scholarly publications, presentations, and conferences.
• Stay updated with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance teaching methods and course content.
• Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Perform administrative functions related to the assigned subjects (e.g., student attendance, invigilation, etc.).
• Participate in extracurricular activities, and promotional/marketing events for the programme.
• Assist in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and academic goals.

REQUIREMENTS/ PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

• Possess a PhD or Master’s degree in Digital or Graphic Media Design.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of teaching experience in Digital or Graphic Media Design related subjects.
• Strong knowledge of subject matter and current industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proven track record of publications (an added advantage).
• American University graduates are preferred.
