Work Location: IOI City, Putrajaya
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite, Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Main Responsibilities:
Support business operations by configuring systems or developing new features within Java applications.
Monitor application performance and ensure high responsiveness and reliability.
Analyze and resolve production issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Contribute to maintaining and improving code quality, with a focus on test automation.
Stay updated with technology trends and propose solutions that enhance productivity and business efficiency.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for development and production support processes.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer, with exposure to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Strong understanding of development processes including testing, code quality, and system design.
Experience in a technical leadership capacity within a project is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience as a Java Developer or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
Skilled in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiar with version control systems such as Git or RTC.
Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
Experience with JUnit and automated testing practices.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in English is required to effectively collaborate with a multinational team.
Ability to work well in a team environment and engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or a related field.
Alternative learning paths (e.g., coding bootcamps) may also be considered.
Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.
Preferred Industry Background:
Experience in the Finance, Banking, or Insurance sectors is highly desirable. Prior exposure to production support and interaction with business users is an added advantage.
