Job summary

A construction and property development company in Malaysia is searching for a Senior Executive in IT Security & Cyber Risk. This position entails monitoring security alerts, coordinating incident responses, and performing cybersecurity assessments. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields, along with 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and familiarity with security tools such as SIEM and firewalls. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, or cyber risk management.
• Proven hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, or EDR.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS standards, or regulatory cybersecurity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts, events, and incidents.
• Coordinate incident response and assist in forensic investigations.
• Perform cybersecurity and IT risk assessments across systems and vendors.
• Support security governance, policies and procedures.
• Assist in conducting cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Manage vulnerability scans, follow-up on remediation, and track risk mitigation.
• Assist in managing and optimizing cybersecurity tools.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and business teams.
