Job summary

A logistics company in Malaysia is looking for an Operations Coordinator to supervise day-to-day import operations. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma or Degree in Logistics and have over 5 years of experience in the logistics sector, especially in airfreight import. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Responsibilities include managing the import operation team, liaising with airlines and Customs, and ensuring timely customs clearance of shipments. A resourceful and resilient individual, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, is preferred.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years experience in logistics, especially airfreight import.
• Able to converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and administration of the Import Operations division.
• Lead, plan, and manage the import operation team.
• Liaise with airlines, Customs department, and service providers.
• Plan the movement of import shipments for timely customs clearance.
• Monitor and check billing and invoicing.
• Attend to customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.

Supervision of day-to-day operations and administrations of the Import Operations division

To lead, plan and manage the import operation team to comply with the protocol and standard operating procedures

Liaison with airlines, Custom department, Domestic and Oversea agents, customers and 3rd party service provider for necessary import arrangement whenever required

Planning for movement of import shipments to ensure customs cleared timely

Monitor and check on billing and invoicing

Attend to customers' complaints and ensure that issues are resolved immediately
