Job summary

A technology recruitment agency is looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer based in Ipoh. The candidate will be responsible for debugging production test boards, creating and evaluating prototypes, and collaborating with design engineers in India and the U.S. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years in electrical hardware development, along with knowledge of circuit design and troubleshooting practices. Experience in software debugging and Agile methodologies is a plus.

Qualifications

SENIOR HARDWARE ENGINEER (BASED IN IPOH)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Debugging and Issue Resolution of production Test Boards. Real-Time Troubleshoot of any HW issues.
• Make, troubleshoot, and characterize first prototypes of designed test boards.
• Closely cooperate with test hardware design engineers in INDIA/U.S.
• Cooperate with software and firmware developers to interface designed hardware to software layer.
• Help with the transfer of new tests from INDIA/USA or other sites and establishing test debug methodology/procedures.
• Responsible for electrical hardware development to facilitate performance testing of transceiver modules and its components.
• Prepare prototype or engineering samples and perform engineering evaluation to meet specification.
• Carry out preliminary BOM initialization, test procedures, manufacturing test procedures and engineering documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Min. 3 years of electrical hardware development experience, preferably in the field of high-speed digital design.
• Knowledge of analog/digital and RF circuit design.
• Knowledge of PCB vendor selection & evaluation, electronics hardware interfacing and verification & trouble shooting of electrical circuits and equipment.
• Documentation control system to record test environment, preferred experience with Agile.
• Verification and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and equipment.
• Knowledge in window-based workstation.
• Understanding of microcontroller programming.
• Some software skills required to be able to debug in a test environment.
