Job description
JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivering Return on Investment (ROI) and maintaining the portfolio health of EPF's global public equities investments in compliance with the guidelines approved by the Management Investment Committee and the Investment Panel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keep track of market performance as well as the progress of invested companies.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations on the buying and selling of shares in accordance with the approved investment guidelines.
  • Monitor the current status of the mandate and make portfolio decisions regarding stock buying/selling activities to generate the desired income.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the assigned portfolio to ensure investment objectives are achieved.
  • Develop expertise in specific sectors and companies by applying the Top Down/Bottom Up Research Approach (inputs from Internal and External Research Resources).
  • Prepare research reports on equity investments and new investment prospects.
  • Contribute to weekly strategy meetings for investment decisions.
  • Conduct presentations internally or to management to support investment discussions and decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor from time to time.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on fund management skills and sector/stock research.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Malaysian Citizen
  • Pass Malay Language, including the oral test, at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Banking, Finance/Investment or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institution
  • Minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in fund management, equity research, or related field
  • Independent, highly disciplined, able to prioritise work, mature and capable of achieving the desired performance.
